Tideline has announced a new model, the 28 Bluewater, expected to be launched this summer. The 28’ long, 10’ wide powercat features a non-stepped planing hull, 509 gallons of stock livewell capacity with the option for double that amount, twin outboards up to 350 horses each, and a whopping 290 gallons of fuel capacity. It will draw a mere 18” and can be had with a 36-volt bow-mount electric trolling motor, so this should be one of the few truly oceanic-capable cats around that can also sneak into the shallows when the reds and specks are biting. The Tideline 28 Bluewater will come with a long list of standard features including items like 12 flush-mount rodholders, an onboard three-bank battery charging system, a three-port sea chest, and a hard top with three-sided enclosure plus rocket launchers and lights. A very attractive option is a factory-installed 36-volt Minn Kota Riptide Quest trolling motor package with batteries, a charger, and adaptor plate. Outriggers, additional rodholders, the mega-livewell, and multiple electronics packages also appear on the options list.
